I went with the Wood's 9bg and made the below SAE numbers. Over 100 lbs of torque by 2000 rpms. I'm adding a sidecar this week and will pull a trailer a few times a year. I wanted plenty of low end torque and achieved just that.

I think the S&S 640 is the best all round cam for the 124. When you read articles about the 124 9 out of 10 times you'll see builders using the 640. The crate motor T124 I have in a bagger runs great with stock Baker DD6 gearing. Pulls smoothly from 2000 rpm and on. No detonation problems at all. I'm so impressed with this setup that I have picked up another set of 640 cams for the 116" Road King. Anyone need a set of lightly used TW8 gear cams?
