Default HD Headlight Trim Ring Poor Fit....?

I installed the trim ring, there's a big gap between the light and the ring on the right side (looking at the lamp), is that because the light is angled toward the shoulder of the road to avoid glare for oncoming traffic? Thanks

Mine is the same way. Looked at it , its tight around the factory ring, so it has to be ok. A little wind turbulance at about 105mph, from being "off" other than that SG stables out at 115. Ride it.

I have the same problem with mine. Its for sure in the light and not the trim because I put a contour headlamp ring on my 09 Ultra. The ring came off my 06 RK and it fit that head light perfectly so I know its not the ring. I have taken it on and off 3 or 4 times trying to figure out where the problem is. It appears the headlamp bulb itself needs to be shifted a little to one side and then needs to be re aimed. Don't really know how or if this can be accomplished. It was like this even with the factory ring but not nearly as noticeable.

Brett, have you rode it at night since you adjusted it. I thought about doing the same thing but figured I would end up with it aimed into the trees. Actually I did adjust it a little.

no, if I am not mistaken, mine was adjusted so that it was toward the road shoulder, my evening it up would have moved it back to the 12 o clock. But, to answer your question, I have not riden at night yet, so you could very well be correct

You need to have the light(s) pointed straight down the road to make it fit right... I had the same problem untill I adjusted the head light. it was kind of a PIA but it can be done.
