Obviously it's a hands down favorite on the 550. Scorpion07, you say you have the garmin 660 like I do. Some questions (for anyone actually). I have a '05 RK Classic, no ferring. Any ideas on another option for mounting? also, since no cig lighter, ideas as for power? I look at the motorcycle carriage for the 660 2 Ram and there doesn't look to be an option for the flip up antenna. how the heck would I get the thing to work? I presume the Zumo doesn't have that issue? I just can't see buying another GPS since I have the one already and it wasn't that doggone cheap.

sportyridr, just for your info the 2610 I have came with street navigator 2006 it has an unlock code with it once you have the unlock code you don't have to buy any downloads.you unlock them right from garmins website.I've done it 3 times already.the motorcycle mount was around 30 which is also a secure mount(it locks the unit in) and the techmount was around 50.for that price the amount of time I'm using it and the options you get with it ,it is well worth the money JMO

Garmin 2730 is available on ebay for about $160 and has XM(with antenna) MP3 and weather and a warranty. Waterproof too. No bluetooth though. Comes highly recommended on the sport touring forums. My RK had a 2610 on it but had gone flaky so I just ordered the 2730.

I'd definitely go with the Zumo. Two of my riding buds have-em and they seem to live up to all that is claimed.

My deal is that I already owned a Garmin Nuvi 760 when I bought the bike so I went with this set-up and just plug it into my fairing 12V socket if the batt gets low. Have had no problems.

If you spend a little time looking on the internet, you can find good deals on the 450.
I got mine for $329.00 with free shipping.
Geez, I thought I got a steal getting one for $367 including shipping and Costco's non-member fee. Where did you get yours for that price?

I'll do a +1 for the 450, as it is a bargain unless you need XM and Bluetooth capability. For me, XM isn't something I will need, not to mention the fact that you must buy the XM attenna for more than $200 plus a pay monthly subscription fee, and I have no interest in talking on the cell phone when riding. I'll talk at stops, but only if necessary.
