The very idea! I buy an 09RKC and lovingly put 500m+ on it before it's first good cleaning only to find dozens of apparent uncaring, arrogant bugs all over everywhere! You'd think those critters would know better, to stay out of the way!!
Gave the sheild a bath (per your advice), gently rubbing her down with my hand after a 2hr soak. Dried it off and used Plexus & microfiber to finish it up. Man, I wish I'd known of this combination when cleaning the Lexan on my home! That windsheild looks perfect, right off the floor!
I always carry a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide mixed at about 75/25, water being the 25%, and spray it on a bugified windshield, fairing, fender, crash bars, etc. Let it sit for about 60 seconds, and wipe off the bug residue. The Peroxide EATS the bugs. And it's safe for your paint. It's safe for your skin. Been doing it for years and years, never a problem. Very cheap as well. Then put on the Plexus. That's what I use, and I know a number of other folks that do as well. Give it a try, and let us know what you think.
