I have had both bikes SG and EGS both are nice bikes. Now I have my Ultra and love it . Pick what you want and enjoy your ride. Good luck in your choice.

Agree - If the money is not the main issue, go with the Ultra -

I have an EGS, it’s a great blank canvas from which you can customize any way you want. However the 2K difference will soon disappear once you add an HD radio and some chrome. I agree with most that the Ultra is about the best deal Harley has in a touring bike. At the end of the day it all depends on what YOU want, and what kind of money you want to spend. Either way you’re choosing a great bike, best of luck....

It's actually a very easy choice. Some of us have found the promised land. But we're not allowed to share that information.

For what it's worth, tuff decision for me as well. I went SG with chopped tour pak... Just liked the look.

Happy so far

Oh if it were really only that easy. (LOL)

I've decided to live by the "Pick what you want and get it out of your system" motto.

I went with the EGS. I actually like the silver powdercoat engine color. I have been told by the Harley sales guys that the silver engines run cooler. Probably BS but maybe. I also liked the trim and aux lights on the EGS rather than the plainer look to the SG. I do like the lowered look to the SG but you can get to that with a few changes. Plus there is a couple thousand difference in price. To me the EGS looks like a pretty well dressed up bike for the money. And you can slowly add whatever to dress it up further.
