It's a tough decision. Definitely rent first! Safe riding.

Thumbs up

The EGS sure seems lighter (No radio equip)
I love that new flat black one. The silver motor looks perfect with that.

As stated here, prob can't go wrong with any of em.

I like your police Road King.

The most practical bike to buy is the Electra Glide Classic. Then you can remove the tourpak and other stuff. Problem is that's exactly what I was going to do when I saw this Black Ice/Blue Ice Street Glide sitting there. I was all over it.

If you like the Black Denim, go with the standard. It just looks 'right' on that bike. There is one on this forum that is the sh@t. And you won't need to spend much $$ on it after you get it since chrome and bling don't look right on it.

If you want any other color, go with the FLHX or the Ultra. If you like the slammed look the FLHX has it in spades. If you want it all and comfort, the Ultra is the sh@t.

not to knock the ultras, its a beautiful looking bike and i'm sure a dream on the highway but...what make it so great?...other than a tourpack w/speakers,lowers,seat,and other add ons (radio, gauges, etc) isn't the same (motor/tranny/frame) bike as an EGS,EGC,SG?...i know the SG is lowered...what am i missing?

that's my whole dilema here...they're all the same bike, the difference is in the xtras or lack there of...some have rails on the bags, different wheels, shorter windshield, etc, etc

i know it's whatever i want and thanks for all the input..i'll shop around an see what dealers are "giving" better incentives on what bikes they have in stock

also...anyone know?...if i want to take off the tourpack (antenna) what happens to the radio...is there a kit or something?..there must be, and how much is that?

BTW anyone want to buy my bike? UGH!!! i STILL can't decide

just thinking out loud here

F'it...I'll probably get the Ultra and this way I have a "Cadillac" and this I can always tear it down to a "Chevy"

You can install an in the faring antenna and detach kit, probably $500. Seating and bars are different on all the touring models, my advice is if you are over 35 get the Ultra, you will be an old man soon and the comfy factor is more important, if you are under 35 you still have a few years of coolness left so go for the SG. You can always get the Ultra on the next go around.
