Default Chrome Hand Switch Housings

I just bought the HD Chrome Hand Switch Housings. Has anyone installed these puppies on their own? Is it worth the 1 hour labor to have the dealership do it?

i would say yes, have the dealer do it. you run a pretty good risk of pinching wires

I wasn't about to put them on myself.....knew I would screw something up....to me it was worth having the dealer do it.

Thumbs up

I installed mine, as long as you have the torx and a good philips it is pretty straightforward. Had a heck of a time geeting the new wiring pulled into the Wild1 508's, maybe that's why the switch housings seemed easy by the time I got to that point in the install.

It's not that bad...honest! Although 1 hour does sound pretty fair!

i was interested in this myself so it seems that the 1 hour at the dealer will be worth it.

Pretty straight forward, the problem you might run into are not to pinch the wires when putting the clamps, and the brake light switch. If you have the manual it will help to see pics. and read how to disassemble and assemble. I have done it myself on quite a few bikes.
