Glens, just out of curiousity, what kind of RAM air effect is there with the stock box? The intake is faced into the wind, doesn't this help any as compared to the open back of the SE intake? I relize on a dyno the stock box would be a detriment since the engine would have to draw the air through the opening but rolling down the road I would think there would be postive pressure in the box.

The only advantage would be cooler air. The bike would have to go really really fast to gain a pressure RAM air advantage.

If the stock intake hole is even getting direct-down-the-gullet airflow (might not be anyway) I'd think the "ram-air effect" would be negligible. I don't have mine handy or I'd check. I once measured the areas of both the inlet and outlet of my stock airbox for a discussion here, but can't remember what the values were.

Cool

A little late here but you could pick up the high flow backing plate and keep the football. It has several slotted holes in it vs the stock backing plate with just one slotted hole......
