Get

Battery tender(will save your battery)

Large bed sheet(California king works good or a couple of kings. I would wash them first)

Bike Jack (sears-pep boys or other auto parts store) its not critical to have this but nice.

Engine fogger or just oil for the cylinders(enough to coat the walls and turn the engine over with plugs out to coat the walls then install the plugs)

Fill the gas tank(some sta-bil or other fuel stabilizer in the gas and run the engine to get the sta-bil through the system. wal mart or auto parts has it)

Change the oil (I would change all 3 but the engine is the most important)

Do not go over there and crank the engine just to hear it(not letting it get up to temp is not good and afterwards you will need to repeat some of the above)

You can use 2-2x6s and 2- 3 foot pieces of pipe with screw in pipe connectors form L and raise bike, there are plans on the internet for about $20, put pipe insulation on the pipes so you wont scratch bike, lifts both tires off ground and use ties to the 2x6s for stability

Ron....I don't presently own a lift, so to get my tires up off the
frozen floor of an unheated storage facility I'll put a piece of
2" styrofoam under each tire.
I'll also put a 2" piece of wood under the jiffy-stand to maintain
the same 'lean angle'.........

*ohh to own a heated garage or live where temps don't get below freezing*

Battery tender and a gas treatment. I use Sea Foam. Promise you it will start right up next spring. You should have gotten a battery tender and have a hook up running from your battery already on your bike unless Harley has changed since I bought mine in 07.

Beside all the excellent info given already, you can place carpet underneth you bike to protect it from the floor moisture and you should also clean and wax your ride befor you cover it with cotton sheets, Wally world has a cheap but good bike cover in their auto dept

You might want to consider a stand. It'd be safer than on a jack.
