I had no trouble popping my 09 Ultra up standing beside with the EZ Up, especially after struggling with the HD unit from my 06 Ultra. It took me a few tries to pop the bike up while "sitting" on it. I'm only 5'8" so I don't have a lot of leverage to work with. Here's what worked for me. Leave the side stand deployed just in case. Put your foot on the stand lever and stand the bike up till you feel both stand legs make contact. Pull up slightly on the saddlebag rails as you stand on the stand lever. I had to do it a couple of times to get the feel for it but once it works you'll be surprised at how easy it is. It felt a little strange for me at first because your instinct is to pull back on the bars, not push down on the lever.
