I would like to put a center stand on the Ultra. I have seen some but theylook awful when in the up position. The arm/lever used to raise the bike sticks out way to far. Anyone know of a stand that looks good up
Looks like a good one. But the video they show of how easy it is to get the bike up on the stand, has the bike slightly uphill on a driveway when the stand is deployed. This gives slight momentum in favor of the bike, so I wonder how easy it is tho truly get it up on the stand.
Depends what you want the stand for. I have a Harley front-mounted show-stand on mine which is reasonably easy to use on level ground, tucks up under the foot-boards. Both wheels stay on the ground and the feet are wide apart.
I park the bike on it inmy garage and on 'safe' parking elsewhere. Can't remove either wheel using it, but it is useful for most other servicing.
I don't think I am interested in a "display stand" And as far as how hard it is to use....I had two Goldwings so I can put ANY thing upon a side stand. I am just concerned about the look while in the up (off the stand)position. I don't want a big dorky handle sticking way out from the side of the bike
Just something to consider... If you have, or plan to install, the HD oil cooler, there is a warning that it won't work with a center stand. It's a mounting interference problem. JMO.. but an oil cooler is more necessary than a center stand.
Stupid question: How stable are Wheeldock center stands? I'm sure you want a level area to use a center stand, what else should you consider when using one? Obviously I don't have one, but the I've looked at the Wheeldock model and may add one in the future.
