I have the wheel dock EZ Up on mine. It really isn't to obtrusive and it sure works well. I'm not where I can post a pic right now, but there are two pics of my bike on the thread titled, "Road King Custom stripped . . . . . anyone? You can see it there.
Good luck.
I installed the Wheeldock the other day, in one word, outstanding !
It iswell engineered, well built and works as described in the advertising. I'm 5'7" and can get the Glide up while still straddling the seat and placing my left foot and weight on the foot lever. I've had many Japanese bikes, and this easier to place on the stand than any of those. If you chose to place the stand down from the left side of the bike, it is almost effortless.
As for the video and hill question, my garage floor is perfectly level and I have a slight hill on my driveway, equally as easy to get down. I was a little worried about dismounting, drove off as advertised, some small effort to rock it out, which is good, you don't want it to come off too easily if you are packing the bags, cleaning or have somebody sitting on your bike.
Also, the 1/2" piece of wood is the only way to get the rear tire off the ground. I tried 3/8", not enough, and 3/4", too much, could'nt lift the bike. And, you do have to do that lifting from the side of the bike. I would like to see them engineer an accessory spacer kit that would slip onto the feet so you could keep them with the bike if needed on the road.
All in all, the stand worked exactly as described, well worth the money. Cleaning my bike today was so much easier upright !
for some reason, a harley just dont look right sitting upright. its gotta have that lean to look like a harley.
but i bet a center stand makes cleaning alot easier...espically that danged left side muffler.
We have a EGand a RG in the garage. If they didn't have centerstands on them we would have a problem getting around them. Took my wife some time to get it by her self but now she can throw her EG up on the stand with no problem. We went the Rivco way. We use them alot and great for washing, tire checks, maintenance, etc.
