Guys, New Classic arrived. Having some chrome work done. Checked today. Obvious scratch on lower left side of inner fairing. Dealer tried to polish out. Now have large shiny patch on inner fairing with scratch in the center. Bike is not delivered, but they have my check. I have a good relationship with the dealer and consider many employees friends. I would appreciate any help here from my friends. Thx.
Good relationship regardless, it's a lot of cash and you'll see that scratch as if it was 6 inches wide and two deep if you don't get them to fix to new specs.
A good dealy wouldn't make you ask, they would just explain the wait time on a new part coming in. How good a relationship could it be if they would be willing to let you leave with a new ride with a flaw they caused?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it won't cost them a dime to replace this in fact they'll probably make some warranty money from MOCO to do the work. Git er dun!!!
If you "take it" unfixed, it will become YOUR problem.
If they are not responsive, threaten to walk. They can not force you to take it or withhold your deposit. If you did not order it with the scratch, then don't accept it.
