I know most people are looking for shields that are stylish and have wind protection. Klockwerks did a great job on the looks department but the wind noise can be a little brutal. I read they were coming out witha 16 inch shield to address those issues. Unsure if that is fact or fiction. Now I see someone else has cloned there idea.
The 15" looks very interesting, and the pictures on the website make me think that it's a little taller than the 12" Klock Werks. I had the Klock Werks and found it unsuitable for touring, but really liked it around town. The CeeBaileys 15" might be a good solution. For comparison, here are a couple of pics of the 12" Klock Werks.
Is it me or does the picture looked photoshopped. The lowers look like the factory vented one from on the new ultras. I didnt think those would fit with the road glide fairing. I got the older lowers, hope I didnt miss out.
No but I'm sure I will. I have the KW 12" smoked - like most say, great for short trips, pretty loud on the long haul. I'd like to use it for my trip to Sturgis next year but...
I have the KW's Flair and at 6'2" it blocked air really well for a 12" but I couldn't get pass the wind noise above 55 it was brutal and I couldn't hear my radio above 55 and that was the deal breaker for me! BEST DAMN looking shield for a Road Glide I ever saw though! I had thought 3 more inchs higher would have worked wonders on the KW Flair so I might just have to give this one a try when the money allows.
