Anyone have a new 09 Ultra or Classic that has changed mufflers, I would be interested in your stock mufflers. I'm running Rush with 2" baffles and want to go with something quieter...I like the sound of the 09 mufflers and would like to try them on my 07 EGC.....I hope they sound the same on the 07 as on the 09.....
Hey ya'll. The muffs from 07 to 09 are exactly the same. I've already seen the insides. The difference in the exhaust "tone" is the system in front of the mufflers(I think). The 09's strongest exhaust pulses come out from the LEFT side with stock muffs at idle, but tend to come from the RIGHT side with a more free flowing muffler. In previous years, the exhaust took the more "sensible" route, which was the right side. I guess it has to do with the 2-1-2 chamber and the cross over that's after this chamber. I've had the 07's and 09's on my bike and they are the same except for the 09's are slash forward. My 07 mufflers came from a SG. Hope this helps.

I have a set of brand new, never off showroom floor, '09 Street Glide mufflers. They should be the same as the Ultra or Classic. PM me.
Thanks guys, maybe I need to check with the dealer...if the mufflers are the same 07 thru 09, then I wouldn't gain anything....have a stock set for the 07
