Default Gas Tank Emblems

Anyone know what these emblems are from? I found them on flea bay. The ad said they were chrome and red...my guess is the photo is reflective, hence the gold look. Actually I like the gold look. I have been looking for something nostalgic, yet modern for my 08 SG. Maybe these are it.

Default Nice Find...

Don't know what they are from, but I really like the look. I also have an 08 SG and have been looking for new tank emblems. Where did you find them on ebay ??

Found the answer to my own question. 2009 Sportster. While at our cabin we walked into the local HD dealer and there sits a sporty with the emblems.

They do look nice. Funny how you were interested in buying them for thier nostalgic appearance and yet they're sold on a 2009 model.

CSMHOG, Old but new. The front has that circle with a bar like the older FLH's had, yet has the HD block lettering, and as most HD emblems, have some red in it. Give HD props, they did a nice job with it. I had to laugh when I seen them at the dealer.

These are from a 47-50 model

Very Nice, I guess the sportster set in your original post wouldn't fit my 09 UC.

So were they chrome or gold?

Chrome, and the red was translousant (sp), not solid red.

Thanks for answering- I bought a pair of these off ebay because they looked so retro, but without being OTT, love the art deco look. Now I know they are from a 2009 Sporty!!

BTW- they bend quite easily, so will fit my Fatty (:
