I've got the Mamba kit. On page 4 in this thread another guy posted up a link of a company that sells the kit in the US. Here's the URL.

Harley just recently applied for a patent on their own reverse gear kit so I'm guessing another year for theirs.

I've had plenty of use for a reverse on my 09 Glide Classic. Just getting out of my garage is a challenge it seems. Parking lots now a days are just getting out of hand. They aren't made for large bikes that for sure. I had no issues with other bikes I've owned (07 fatboy)...it was small enough for me to get out of most situations. This new bike is just to heavy to back up on inclines or bad footing. You all know what I'm talking about too. I ride with other people most of the time and when they pull over just anywhere they feel..it makes it hard for the rest of us on the large bikes. Reverse would help and yes I would consider adding it to my bike

I've had a reverse gear on a wing...Anyone that thinks they are useless has not used one.

The wing was starter driven and could get the wing up a pretty good incline.

Harley's could definitely benefit from the convenience of a reverse gear on a 1000lb motorcycle..

Right now one of my favorite features of my Harley is the "GREAT" Jiffy/stand.

Can't appreciate it until you use everyone elses "non-locking" kick stand.

The reverse gear would be the same way....Something great to have, however, very pricey at $1600 without install (for the after market one)....I did not like reverse that much

A couple of years ago I would have had a laugh about this but after recent back surgery I am seriously considering it.

Isn't it amazing how time changes our perspective?!

Like Skulmn, I rode a Wing for a while too. I tried not to park it a position were I had to use the reverse, just to limit wear and tear on the starter systems, but sooner or later there comes a time when it sure comes in handy! I haven't needed it on my Ultra yet but then again, since I don't have it, I'm much more motivated to pay attention to where I'm parking the bike.

Yeah who needs reverse, or cruise control, or hydraulic clutch or fuel injection, or a six speed tranny with a six gallon tank. I think it's a great option for those that "need/want" it.
I know my brother-in-law, and father-in-law can barely touch the ground on their street glides (even after lowering with new seats) and their significant others weigh more than they do making backing up the bike a royal pain. I think they could definatley benefit from having a reverse.

Heck they don't need reverse. All they need to do is have the chunky Monkeys get off till they back them up.

Or maybe the patent is for the reverse gear they put in the Tri-glides. Anyhow, I use my reverse gear almost every day (in my car). The thought of duck-walking that thing backwards is silly.

all it takes is about once to park nose down into a parking place, and you will learn very quickly to back into it rather than nosing downhill. no reverse needed if you got any forethought when you park. a little sense goes a long way sometimes.
