Default Radio problem

Probably been discussed before but the LCD display on my 06 Ultra has gone out. I still have the red backlight. I understand this is a known problem with the new HK radios and HD is supposed to have some kind of exchange program on rebuilt units. Of course mine is out of warranty. Anyone have any experience with this......and a cheaper fix than buying an brand new radio at over $1000

Are you sure the display doesn't need adjusting? I would have to go look at mine but you can adjust them. Just a thought, you probably already checked that.

Yep, hopefully you "somehow" adjusted the display to ahh...not display. Owners manual should say how to adjust.

Hope it's just the adjustment but if not I wouldn't go with another HD radio. Look at the Biketronics radio a lot cheaper and a better radio too.
