It is awesome that a lot of you are going for the first time, you will have a blast. I have been going since 02. We stay in a camper 2 blocks off the main drag in Sturgis.
Be prepared for any weather, it can be very hot, very cold, or very wet with out any notice. Keep your clothes on in Sturgis, take them off in the campground. Dont drink and ride, you will be leaving a lot of your money or your life in South Dakota.
You will have to fight crowds, but that is half the fun, people watching.
I cant wait to get back out there, I was ready to go back the day I left. I will be out there the opening weekend, it seems to be less crowded. Ride safe and most of all have fun!
It's always a great trip. Lot's to see, great riding, and the camping is a real blast! Save some $$ and do the camp thing. You're going to get wet anyway on that trip, so don't worry about it. Just go for it.
Im goin with some buds and that number gets biiger everyday. So far all first timers. Anybody with some good places to stay please let me know!! Not a total campout but not hotel..if possible.
