I just posted this same question last week. I ended up ordering my bike with it.
A. Just in case
B. Resale
The money isn't too much of an investment up front.

lots of stuff here even a cool demo video. I also watched the Ride Like A Pro 5 dvd and they mention ABS in there quite a bit.

Those who have it praise it, as they should. Those who don't have it, don't know the difference. I think once you ride a bike with it you'll get it but you have to change your braking style. That said, My 09' FLHX does not have it and I'm good with that. *****

I thnk ABS is one of those funny things like seat belts or air bags. If you never need one you ask yourself why did I pay all that extra money for the 'feature'. The first time you need it and it saves your butt you wonder why everyone doesn't have it, and the first time you need it and don't have it, well you are probably dead so it doesn't matter.

I love the ABS on my bike and have used it once.

IMO, ABS isn't going to save your life 100% effectively. Just ride and pay attention to where you're going. If you got into a wreck...It's just pure S.O.L. !.

Glad to see you decided to order with the ABS Mike. I had to wait an additional 6 weeks to get my Ultra because I insisted on ABS. Mike's listed the 3 most important reasons above. What price do you put on your safety or that of your passenger? It's too inexpensive not to get it.

I pondered over it for weeks and finally decided to get it. Never had to use it and hope I never do. And if nothing else it will help the resale value a bit.

Didn't get it on my 08 but really wish I had. If I had it to do over I would definitely pay the $795.00 for it. IF the time ever comes when you really need it you will be glad you got it.
