In lieu of maybe spending the $ on a complete big bore kit, I am considering adding a hotter cam to my 09 Street Glide. The mods would be Jackpots, SE A/C, a race tuner and of course the cam, which is the only thing I don't yet have. For an increase in low to mid range TQ without a major reduction in fuel mileage, what are some recommended cam choices? I am open to anything that is a good reliable product. Lastly, how much would I expect to pay just for the cam install?

many thanks,

I had this same question when i got my bike and wanted some more power but wasn't ready to do what i ultimately knew I would, HQ 107" kit.
So I decided to go with HQ cams. With the price of the cams and labor to put them in you are coming in at around $700.
I saw winter specials at my local hd shop for a 103" for a little over $1000.
For me the HQ kits are what I am determined to do but if i wasn't stuck on that the extra $300+ might be worth looking into if you can swing it.
As far as just cams, talking with HQ on my 96 with no other work they sold me their 500 cams which is the same as their 34's but made for the bigger bearing of the 96.
There will be lots of Cam choices and multiple threads on this forum about them.
Different stroke motor...its not just CI that makes power
Also when they do the 88 - 95 are most going to a higher compression piston!
Plus our motor has about the same size pistons as the 88, with the stroker crank it gives us the extra ci to make it a 96.
Stock heads suck.

I wish I could do it myself, but not enough time or knowledge. I have neighbors who could help, but with as much as I have in the sheer cost of this bike, I am more comfortable to pay someone to do the work.
