Which Tour Pack??????????

You will really appreciate the tour pack regardless - It's been some time since I've had mine off.

"I've heard this a lot, which is why I think I’m going with the tour pack without the lights and relocate the antenna permanently in the fairing for my style of riding. I found I don’t even like the passenger backrest on my RKC unless someone is riding with me.

Now on my '05 EGC I rarely had the TP on it. Maybe 5% of the time - only on a longer road trip would I use it. I don't like that big bulky thing on my bike and don't need it usually but WOW is it nice on a big trip I can tell you that. Obviously this is a personal preference thing.
When I did put my TP on I just snapped it on. I didn't hook up the lights or speakers so no wires to fuss with. Again depends what you want. I'm just saying it doesnt have to be all that complicated if you mount the TP occasionally when needed. Even so it took maybe 20 minutes (instead of 5 minutes) if I did hook up the speaker wires, antenna, lights, etc.
As mentioned above, moving the antenna into the fairing is a great idea and eliminates the need for the wiring and antenna on the TP. Then you just have the lights (if you have them) and/or the speakers (if you have them).
The detachable tourpak is a WONDERFUL thing I must say. I'm going to be picking up a leather RK Tourpak for my bike soon for those times when I need it on a trip.
