Hey guys,
I thought I'd run this by you before I ran it by my dealer. My 2009 Street glide didn't come with cruise control but I installed the kit after I took delivery. Because of the drive by wire throttle the kit consists of only the right hand switch housing and harness and the switch that installs in the fairing cap. Hit the freeway today and hit the switch, red light on switch came on, switched the set switch on the hand control and nothing. By chance does this need to be programmed by the dealer? Could it have anything to do with The PC-V? Any help would be apprecaited, Rich
Thought I saw a thread a few months back about a member having his Stage 1 done w/tuner and the next time he tried his cruise it didn't work. That's all I can recall but when mine was installed my cruise was gtg.
Stock header's with a drilled out catylitic converter and Bub 7 slip-on's. Alittle on the quiet side but nice. And also, I just called the dealer, evidently the cruise kit does need a program change from the dealer, figures......Rich
This may sound crazy but is your brake light on all the time? The reason I ask is my cruise didn't work when I put new grips on my bars, I undid the switch housing and brake lever, and when I put them back together the brake lever bar was not contacting the brake switch in the control housing, thus causing my brake light to be on all the time, thus the cruise control would not engage!!!! I know it maybe a long shot but that is what fixed my problem with cruise on my 09. Hope you followed that.
Thx Doc, Tail lights work fine, I do know what tyour talking about tho, thx..
Thanks Pierre....
Hey, Now I'm concerned with them hooking the scanalizer up to my bike while having the PC-V installed. I'd just remove the PC-V for a minute but I completly removed my 02 sensors and installed plugs in the bungs. What do you think, should I be concerned. I'm pretty tight with my dealer, and I wonder if the PC will effect the scanalizer..
