Questions regarding fairing mount mirrors
The range of vision is just as good as what you would have with handlebar mounted mirrors (in my opinion). The mirrors on my bike didn't vibrate at all while riding.
I have one for an 08 w/ 6 gallon tank..
I want to change out for the new baggers console..
Anybody got $259.00 for mine?? lol
It still has the stock FLHX insert. This may be changed in the future, but I'm OK with it for now.
It changed the look of the tank for the better.
Regarding the mirrors, I finally got a chance to try the fairing mirrors out on an extended ride this past week. I like 'em a lot, but I do have to get used to 'em. I like the fact that they don't vibrate at idle and don't shimmy in the wind.
Although not as important, they clean up the look of the bike as well.
Here's a shot of the bike in it's current config, outside, in the sunshine............

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
On my Road King- I installed the stock mirrors with the longer stems and I LOVED 'em.
I've been looking at the Electras and up...and NONE of those bikes come with faring mirrors (they're all mounted on the bars).
Is there a way to cap off the faring mounts? (if I were to go back to the bar-mirrors).
