The min you get on the road you will really feal the difference. Like they said you will love it. Baggers are the way to go. Longer trips and the miles rack up.
If you want to replace your FB with a touring bike that just means your priorities have changed, but if you want to throw stones in the corners! why are you considering a sg when they come stock lowered and therefore unable to lean as much the true handling tourer which is of course the ROADGLIDE ! and of course they are so much more attractive than the rest of the family.
I have road the sg but my last thoughts of that day where dulled by the fatboy ride home! Riding to sturgis on the fatboy was easy and fun ! but having room for all the little stuff you need to travel makes it easy with the touring ride! Is the lean angle similar on the two! You guy's make some good points. thanks a ton!
It feels more stable, but I think the lean angle is less due to all the stuff hangin off it. My disclaimer is I haven't put it through the paces yet...

I to went from a 07 FB to a 09 SG. Ill say it again I miss my FB but would never go back. The ride is a lot more comfortable and I feel better when I get off. Who gives a **** what anybody else thinks
