Going to buy one or the other in the next couple months. Wanted to hear the pros and cons of getting the SG or the EG. I really like the SG but I saw an EG the other day at the dealer that was very cool. Kind of caught my eye. What do you all have to say? Stepping up from a Sportster so its a change.

I was going to go SG, but going EGS in Denim Black - it's a badazz looking combo and I'll get it with c/c, abs and sec for a couple grand less than the SG...granted no radio or black and chrome engine, but don't like the look of that with the Denim black. JMO...have fun choosing!

I had the same dilema, Denim black EGS or SG. I ended up with a DBP SG and could not be happier with the bike! But the price difference of the EGS does allow you to buy alot of mods.

Neither ......... Ultra Classic is the place you ought to be, so they loaded up their truck ........ Oh wait, that is a different program. You can't go wrong with either one my friend.

Purely a personal decision just like in the sportster class!!! As for the ride, not enough difference to justify the extra $$$$$$$$. At least it wasn't for me.

Seriously, if you have the need to style and profile, then you'll probably be better off with the SG.

More $$$$$$$ in = more $$$$$$$ out, "maybe" come trade or sale time!!

The way I looked at it was,
black engine = SG
blonde engine = EGS

I like the black engine...

After a while the aluminum on all the engine parts will begin to look bad and there isn't much you can do about it. I would suggest going with the SG, you get the black/chrome engine, radio, silver face gauges. All this will equal a better trade in for you down the road.

If you like the looks of the standard, I would go for it and have money to add what you want. I just don't like the looks of the engine. I wish we could custom order a bike with the fenders and engine we like.
