I haven't seen any posts of "problems with PC III". Can you point me in that direction? Just because you haven't had a problem doesn't make it the "best".
Dude, I specifically said "not sure which one is better". I don't give a rats azz what anyone else has. I just stated an observation I've seen here at HD Forums.
I installed a PCIII this past year and have not had any issues with it. I plan on taking the bike to FuelMoto for tuning this summer. With that said, installing the exhaust, ac, and PCIII myself and not having it dynoed, it runs pretty darn good.

Had the SERT on my 06 heritage. Expensive for the HD tech to adjust/modify if/when needed. having said that I made no changes in 2 years i had the bike. It had the SE air kit and SEII slip ons.
Now my 06 SG has the PCIII with Rineharts and K&N with a 95" and S&S 510 gear cams..no adjustment done either.
My 07 Heritage has the PCIII with k&N and Vance and Hines double barrell exhaust...no changes or fiddling either.
The bike came with a Techlusion and dual pipes and would pop for ever on the rear cylinder and occassionally off the front.
The Techlusion and dual exhaust are collecting dust.
i'd rather have the Indy tech tune the PCIII for less$$ then the SERT HD tech for more $$ where i am.
I prefer PowerCommander because tuning is done live (without shutting the bike off). It's like all the traffic lights turning green when you come to them. SERT tuning requires continual down-shifting and stopping, and then accelerating again. In effect all the lights turn red just as you get to them.
Considering a full tune may involve 30-50 runs (traffic lights, each 40 seconds if red), the
PowerCommander tuning "trip" I can complete in an hour may take three hours with a SERT.
If you do have a SERT and want further tuning, you need (1) the black interface,
(2) the interconnect cable, and (3) a copy on disk of the current map in the bike's ECM.
I recommend asking your dealer for a backup copy when they modify an H-D download.
