You don't have to be close to catch a cigarette in the face,I am living proof. I will say that when I 1st started riding (I was 16ys old) I was on an FM road riding about 55mph behind a pick-up with some kids in the back. One of them threw a snickers wrapper out of the back and it hit me right in the eye. I almost lost control but I held it together. I stopped and picked up the wrapper, memorized the plate number and went to the police dept. I told them my story and gave them the wrapper. They called me the next day(They knew my Parents)and told me that it cost the parents of that kid $250 in a fine. AHHHHHH Justice.

Anyone have problems with cagers throwing cigarettes out the window while driving in front of you,or trash flying out of the back of their pick-up truck and hitting you while your are riding? SO WHAT DO YOU DO?
The assumption seems to be.... the dumbazz cager did it on PURPOSE... truth of the matter is... the cager was in their own private Idaho, and you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.... you're on a bike, they're in a car.... when YOU pull up alongside of them and give them "what for" in all likelyhood the cager will see you as the "instigator" all the posturing about Glocks, and hammers, and ball bearings is just that posturing... you're on a bike and they're in a car... pay attention, and try to avoid as mush of the crap as you can...
oh? and for the record? I've been hit by cigarettes tossed by a friend on his Ultra... so not every jackazz, is in a cage, there's more than a few on bikes
Them butts bounce, you don't need to be too close. I had a young kid toss a butt out the sunroof and it bounced off my windshield, gave him a toot of the horn to let him know I was back there, he flipped me the bird. I popped him in the head with a nickel at the next light. Not something I would recommend doing.
All I can say about this thread is that if you tail gate me when I am on my bike watch out I also carry a pocket full of pennies they work WELL No never been hit with a cig yet
