whatever u do get a Garmin. more reliable and will be cheaper in long term.
make sure also its waterproof... ebay has great deals. i got both of mine there a while back. Garmin 2720.. it is a older unit but great screen and handles the vibrations of a HD.
paid 900.oo when it first came out about 5 years ago. i had others, but garmin is best...

I use my Garmin 760, only because I already owned it when I bought the bike. Plugs into the cig lighter. No problems.

I have a Nuvi 360 with a handlebar mount and charging wire off Amazon.

Never had and issue at all, just put it away for rain.

Thanks Steve,

Thats what makes this Forum such a great place! Got a sun shield for my bike as well as one for my boat too today, thanks to you. Good Link! very reasonable too!

(By the way, I use a Garmin 660 on a RAM mount, only because I already owned it for my SUV. it's not waterproof but thats nothing a baggie and rubber band won't fix if cought in the rain. You can see it below mounted on my bike and plugged into the faring's cigarette lighter port.)

Check out the Garmin Nuvi, I bought a 350 and have been well pleased with it. I just use the suction cup and mount it on the gas cap. If it rains, I just put it in the gove box and can still get directions through stereo.

amen... my 2610 off eBay for less than $100 is great and does everything I need.

Heck.....7-11 sells GPS's in their stores now. Get a GPS for about 150 bucks almost anywhere. How cheap you want to get? And....I use a Garmin NUVI. Not water proof and has been in the rain plenty. It may be just my luck...when it fails, I will get a Zumo.
