Too many close calls with the jacks. I'm saving up for one of these.

Tkx for all the replies! I don't remember all the ?s asked except one... by fiddling I meant like using a razor knife on lowers so they fit better. Almost zero bike movement.

The 'fall' happened twice actually. The first time. I thought I'd 'set' it incorrectly so I put it back up and ever-so-cautiously watched. Boom. After a few minutes it went down.

I wasn't trying to save $$$ or be cheap! I'll spend four figures if I have to but I thought this was a good jack reading reviews. Obviously that was wrong .

Would you verify please that http://www.jsaccessories.com/ is the correct addr. There's about many j&s sites when I google. Is there any particular J&S jack everyone's buying? I bow to those wiser than I...

+1 I have the Sears Craftsman Yellow jack and I've never had a problem with it in over 2 years of using it on my RK.

Glad no damage occurred to your bike, and thanks for the heads up. I also own the yellow Craftsman. "Knock on wood", I've had mine for two years without incident. I've had my V-Rod lifted 25 to 30 times (general maintenance and cleaning (lots of cleaning) without mishap. I have experienced some wobble, but no failures like your's.
