I'm considering installing the new K&N RK-3930 A/C kit along with the V&H Monster Ovals on my 08 Ultra. I'm also considering going with the FuelPak. The question I have is if anyone has these installed and your opinion.
hi, i have a 2006 roadking, with the k&n filter kit and vance and hines ovals, great combination, i also have a sert for tuning, only down fall to the k&n kit is you have to use the stock air cleaner cover.
I believe also that the K&N 3930 has a composite plastic backing plate that will warp over time as some have claimed. It's not metal. Once the heat gets to it for a year or few, it will degrade.

Don't have the K&N kit you speak of, but I do have the RSD AC with a K&N, Fuelpak, and MO. The Fuelpak is a very simple installation and works well with the MO. I love the combo. Do it, you won't be sorry!
I have the S/E AC with K&N filter with fuel pack & Monster Ovals and it is a great set up. By going with the S/E AC I was able to go with a round air cleaner cover and give my bike a better look. The combo is excellent and offers great gas mileage IMO.
I have the SE intake (with round cover), Monster Ovals, and Fuelpak. I am very happy. I will say that the ovals are louder than I thought they would be. I heard them at the V&H trailer during Biketoberfest, but they seem louder when you are actually on the bike riding.

The backing plate is NOT plastic. Take a looksee for yourself...
