You need new torca clamps each time you take them off. They can only be tightened properly one time. If not they get loose. Tighten them 45-60 ft-lbs, or (61-81Nm)

i torqued to 50lbs and the one on the left side came loose after 2 weeks.. i then went with the "grind ure teeth method". might be same as the MFT...
if u do torque them, make sure u check them one in a while to see if the clamps got loose due to temp changes. Oh yea - i also put some loctite blue on the threads the 2nd time around.

hey all kidding aside one thing i do when taking slip ons off and on i loc tight the slip on to the header pipe to prevent any chance for xhaust leak,These leaks can also cause popping on deacceration,And when i need to take them back off i spray them with liquid wrench for about half an hour and with a little steady pulling they come right off.

take hack saw to end of muffs where they slip over header....cut groove 1" deep toward back of muffs.....Clamp will then be able to actually compress muff inlet around head pipe.....been there-done that.

I have used my current set at least 10 times on my current ride. Trying out different slip-ons and changing tires, and such. Use my air gun and have not once a clamp come loose. MOCO wants you to beleive they are one time use...NOT in my experience.

Yep, take at look at the side of the clamp when you got it tight...if you see gaps tween the curved parts of the band and the center lug, then the clamp can still be used.

It also helps to lube the threads and MAKE CERTAIN the clamp isn't too far back on the muff pipe. The clamp needs to fit flush with the front end of the muff pipe-not back even 1/8".
