you are correct - J&S lifts 18 inches, Pit Bull lifts 25 inches
I know Harbor Freight lifts are garbage but for as many times as I need it it works well for me. No wobbles. It's not rock solid and I feel better when I lash her down but it cost $158.55 out the door 8.75% tax included. That keeps over $300.00 in my pocket and higher.
I try to avoid pissin matches but i DO own both lifts. they BOTH work perfect.the pitbull has a lager foot print more zerk fittings and lifts higher. the j&s dose not go as high has fewer zerks but j&s dose offer a nice drip pan, drain all 3 holes at once.
you can also alter the j&s pan to fit the pitbull takes two minutes. i use them both all the time, bought the j&s first but for 200.00 i bought a pitbull. either one is better than any craftsman or harbor freight, just sayin.

I call double BS I sold my Pitbull for a J & S so yes I have used both
bwah haha guess you must have wanted a SMALLER inferior lift that was not made as good and does not lift as high. I sold a cadillac for a toyota but that was for gas mileage. enuff said

you are wrong and I don't believe you have owned both , I bought a Pitbull first , it is a quality jack , I usually lift my bike and roll it by my work bench and work on my bike , occasionally I would leave the bike on the lift for a few days , first time I did I wanted to roll the bike out of the way and when I did the Pitbull got stuck on my garage floor , I thought the floor was level but apparently not , so I left it by my work bench , this was more of a inconvenience than problem , one time a friend was over while I was working on my bike and wanted me to do something on his bike so he tried to roll my bike out of the way to bring his bike in , same problem , a few days later he brought over his J & S and said try this , I did and it worked no problem , I sold my Pitbull on Craigslist and bought a J & S , they are both quality jacks but the J & S is more stable , if you owned both you would know this , for others go to you tube and search motorcycle jack comparison and watch the video
