There is NO 500 mile break in period. The first scheduled service is at 1,000 miles. Check your owners manual and it will tell you when you should be servicing your bike and what is SUPPOSED to be done each time. You can change in between these intervals if you like but the MOCO has their posted intervals in your manual.
