Pc iii
I do a lot of reading about Fuel Moto,s PC III, PC V. I hear that a lot of you say its easy to install these items. Do you have to set throttle % on all PC III when installed? Iam not that good with computers and I donot have a lap top to hook up to the PC III to do the throttle position settings. Just a little nervous. Your imput would be helpful.
Thanks

If you have TBW ('08-'09) you may not need to set the TP, but earlier bikes need it. It is simple: For the PCIII plug in the 9V adapter and turn on the ignition without starting the engine. In the TP-setup part of the software click on "Reset," then apply full throttle 'til the large number in the window settles (about a second or two), then "OK." The PCV procedure is the same except there is no 9V adapter. You'll obviously need to tether either via USB to a computer with the PC software loaded.
I think an '09 FLH requires a PCV, but since '07 and '08 will fit either I would recommend the PCV, as it is only slightly more expensive, has more features, and gives you the option of upgrading to the excellent Auto-Tune modules at a later date if desired. Fuel Moto supports and warrants the PCV for '07-'09 bikes even though Dynajet only approves the '09 line. I have an '07 SG with a PCV and Auto-Tune, purchased of course from FM, and it works very well on this bike.

You don't say what model year you own and the difficulty of install varies depending on this and hardware installed. Basically, for '06-'08 (non-ABS) bikes a PCIII/PCV fits under the right side cover on top the ECU. Other than mounting the unit with cable ties it is PNP, perhaps a 20-min. job tops. If you own an '08 with ABS you must shoehorn a PCIII under the seat, and there are tutorials on this. The '09 bikes should be a piece of cake because of the cavernous space available under the seat.

You're welcome. BTW, USB cables can be purchased up to 15' in length, so if your desktop computer is near a window and you can ride your bike next to that window, you might be able to tether this way. You can also buy inexpensive USB "extenders" that allow linking USB cables into longer runs. I've done this for as much as 30' with good results.

There are options to a PC check out the above. PC installation on an ABS equipped touring frame is not very clean and can lead to problems if you don’t pull the seat and wrap the PC in plastic wrap every time you wash the bike.
If you buy from Fuel Moto it will come preprogrammed for your set up. They will also email new setups if you change anything; very easy people to deal with.

I loaded DynoJet's disk onto my PC then brought the whole dang thing into the garage (I mean really - how hard is it to unplug?) and did the zero throttle. No prob at all, and the actual hardware install is a piece of cake. It's an '07 too.

Anyone else have issues with the PCV getting wet on an 08 w/abs?????????????????????????
I also have a 08 streetglide with ABs. I would like to do the whole stage 1. Am thinking of going with the HD download. I've read on here how difficult it is to fit the PC on the bikes with ABS. I was wondering if the new PCV will fit better. I have an aftermarket LePera seat on it with very little underneath room. I'm interested in Rush slipons, high flow cleaner & either PCV or download. I want to do the setup and ride I'm not looking to tinker with it once it is on the bike and running.
