I am getting ready to bite the bullet and get a Seer helmet. http://www.superseer.com/
Since they seem to be the only ones who may be able to fit my overlarge melon.
Just need to make up my mind on what color I want, and if I want the suspension lining or the foam.
What I was wondering from those of you the have a Seer half helmet is what you think of the nape strap. I see it's advantages but not having had one before I wondered if it was hard to get use to.
I love mine. The nape strap makes it fit more snug. I run the foul weather adapter in the winter, (and probably summer, it only gets to about 65 here). I have the foam lining, if you're in a warmer climate I imagine the suspension would be more comfortable. I have the s1602 with vents. Also have the com ear flaps, I use 'em over the foul weather adapter. The fit is fantastic.
Best helmets I've worn. Nape strap works a charm, helps to keep the helmet steady at high speed. The foam liner is warmer, sweaty in the summer actually so I got one of the suspension helmets. Super cool in the summer, a marked difference in the two when the temperature cools. I got one black with silver flames and one color-matched to my two-tone bike. The chin strap pad is a real nice detail as well.
Figure out your colors and then work out what the temperature is like the majority of your riding time.
