Default Power Commander Install & Setup

Just got my Power Commander in today from Fuelmoto... these guys ship FAST! Did I say FAST ? While I am waiting on the Fatcats from Eastern Performance, just wondering what I am facing as far as installing and setting up the Power Commander... ? Bike is an 06 EGC.
I've heard it's easy but then again lol... so pray tell, what am I looking at and how EZ is it really or ? Comments and suggestions welcomed and appreciated from "the gang"

Thanks
BB

Jamie already set it up all you have to do is plug and play. I am not sure on the 06. My 03 i had the fuel pak on before the PC III. It is not very hard to do. Took me about an hour with the fuel pak including the download. your going to love the punch that you get with the PC III.

The actual install of the hardware is a two-beer job, maybe 15-20 min. at most and is almost PNP. Just remove the right saddlebag, right side cover, unplug the ECU, plug in the PCIII, wire-tie the PCIII to the ECU, and add another tie or two for the connectors. Optional, smear a light coating of dielectric grease around the connectors before closing. But you're not finished just yet...

Edit (01/27/09): Something important that I failed to include earlier, after installing the hardware crank the bike and take it out for a ride to warm it up thoroughly. The following TP setup should be done when everything is warm. Also, this applies to '07 and earlier non-TBW bikes. I don't believe this method can be used with these newer bikes and are usually set properly from the outset. Ask Jamie about it for these models.

Install the PC software to a notebook computer, connect the PCIII to the computer via USB, and launch the software. Under "Power Commander Tools" click on "Set Throttle Position." Connect the 9V adapter in the kit to the PCIII and turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Without moving the throttle click on "Reset" and after a few seconds twist the throttle to 100% until the number under "Open" settles in a second or two. Close that window and the throttle and look in the main window for "% Throttle," which should say "0%". Twist the throttle again to 100% and it should show accordingly in the digital readout. If not, repeat the procedure. If you can only get 99% or so instead of 100% that's close enough. Turn everything off, remove the USB cable, replace the side cover and saddlebag, and you're ready to roll.

I thought they were supposed to come from Fuel Moto already set up for you if you tell them what your mufflers/AC are ? Am i wrong ? I thought that was supposed to be the big advantage of going to them.

Do you put the Engine Kill Switch in Run or Stop position?

Or is that procedure just part of calibrating it to the bike?
