Everybody's got an opinion, but it sure can show what's inside your heart can't it? Spizzyman and Monkish - I have nothing to add to your statements. You have spoken well and true.
I will ride with and talk to whomever I want and I will darn sure wave at them all as they go by, and shame at them if they don't wave back. I chose my riding buddies carefully, but certainly NOT on the basis of what they ride.
I believe as Harley riders we share a heritage and a culture that is older than us. That comes with a price - not in terms of money but in terms of accountability and honor. We are ambassadors for the "sport" of riding and for the thing we love to do. It's time to put aside childish thoughts and wake up people.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Soooooooooooooooooo, why did YOU buy a F U C K E N Harley???? Just BECAUSE??????

Because my Mom passed away in 2006 and left me some cash. My wife had always wanted a Harley, but I wanted a Wing. We went to Dallas and rented a UC for a day. It blew me away. I'd told my wife it was going to have to at that price, and it did. In the end, I bought it to please us.
My Mom and Dad were responsible for me getting into biking when I was 14. I thought the price was too high but my sister (who's been to Sturgis and used to own a Harley years ago) told me it would make Mom happy to know how I'd spent her money.
Yeah... I know... it's a tearjerker but it's the truth.

So... You bought a Harley BECAUSE it's a Harley... You felt the need to "belong", make someone proud of you... It's a F U C K E N Harley.
So tell me more about these classes. Are there also sub-classes of Harley people too? If we are going to have classes of bikers depending on weather they ride a jap bike or a Harley, do we also break the Harley riders down in to sub-classes. I mean a 883 Sportster is much cheaper than a SE Ultra Classic.
