I ride with anyone, don't care what they ride. My last group ride last year consisted of 3 Harleys, 2 BMWs, A Goldwing, A Honda Pacific, 3 or 4 Suzuki C50s. I wanted a Harley, I bought a Harley but you got a bike, any bike, lets go for a ride. I like my Harley for now but I'm not certain my next bike will be a Harley. The BMW 1200GS has had my eye for a while. On the other hand I also really like the VROD Muscle.

Obviously Frank bought in to try and belong, cause it didn't take the azz hat long to sign up to his local HOG Chapter. A picture from his profile. lmfao

I betcha this azz hat is in the front row too?

But Frankie you are from canada.....don't that mean you are riding a piece of Americana? Maybe you should be riding a canadian bike..oh wait they don't make one. Well, looks like you will have to try harder to fit into the real American way of motorcycling. In case you don't know, that means the FREEDOM for anybody to ride and enjoy ANY bike they choose without @#% holes like you trying to make them feel like crap for doing it. Sorry bud there is a new breed of Harley owners out there and dinosaurs like you are now rare and it is a good thing! Do you look at yourself in the mirror and think you are the "wild one"?? Sad dude, really sad.

Every time I see or hear the term "azz hat" I just crack up. Don't know why. It's just funny stuff. I don't care who ya are.

Yep, I agree. He's a poser! I know a guy that could pull a couple of one hundred dollar bills out of his pocket, wipe his *** with one and light his cigar with the other. He's owned several bikes over the years. A one point he was Riding his Blinged out street glide one day and his BMW 1100 the other. Does that mean I can talk to him only when he's riding his Harley? You AZZHAT! He's since sold the glide, so I guess I can't talk to him anymore and vise/versa

I don't belong to my local HOG chapter or any other biker group. And I didn't buy my bike to socialize or so I could be a part of some "elite group." I bought my Harley because I like the way it looks, sounds, rides and feels ... nothing more.

I have friends that ride sport bikes, sport touring bikes, metrics, Big Dog's, and yes, Harleys. But I gotta say that it pi$$es me off when some Harley rider says that he's part of some elite group because he can afford to plunk down thirty grand on a motorcyle. If that's the reason you bought your bike, then you're missing the point. And if I gotta explain it to ya, then you wouldn't understand.

I wonder if Frankie knows how to check the air in his tires?

I’d hate to see him ostracized from his Hog Chapter, if he shows up without his valve stems lined up.

You are probably right. I was running a golf tournament last year at my country club and we were asking for a “$10 extra donation to an Arnold Palmer charity for Prostate Cancer”.

Out of all the players we had that day, only one guy said he didn’t want to pay the $10. We said that’s fine it was his call.

Well when they lined up before hand to take a group picture for the newsletter, there he was right in the center, on the front row. Smiling bigger than anybody else too.

You can bitch, complain, whine curse the price but in the end it's what makes a Harley a Harley... posession... If you want a "motorcycle" buy a honda, yamaha, suzuki, kawasaki and don't expect to belong to a "group" and if you think you "belong" you are sadly mistaken... You see the non Harley owners standing on the side lines admiring the haleys, wanting to come over and chat, but you and they know they don't belong. I didn't buy a Harley to hang out with honda, suzuki, yamaha, kawasaki riders... I spent the extra dollars to hang out/belong with an elite group of people who know what a Harley is... A MOTORCYCLE/FREEDOM/CLASS/LIFE STYLE... If you riders who hang out here on the Harley forum but ride a jap scrap think you have a right to talk to us, guess again.... You're nothing more than wannabees, get a life.
I smell a Troll, I acted like that went I was in my 20's, I hated everything That wasn't HD. Dude, Get over it, as bikers or motorcyclist we need to be a way bigger "group" than just us and them. As Burt Monroe said "I like things that roll and go." I personally love my HD and my first bike was an HD. I've owned other makes as well, some I liked others I've sold. An air cooled V2 is just what I like and my Street Glide just plain fits me. So get off your high horse, stop braggin' on how much you "dropped" on your bike. oh yeah, stop whinning. Get a life, go ride and meet some people, you Troll.

You must be joking. It is difficult to judge someone based on one post, and it is probably unfair of me to try, but Frankharley07, you continue to add to and expand the body of evidence that suggests you have more than just a strong affinity for Harley Davidson motorcycles. That affinity of course is quite normal. Most of us on this forum ride Harleys because that's what we like, and many have other brands of motorcycle as well. What is not normal is the striking intensity of your disdain for those who choose another brand of motorcycle. You display the classic, textbook definition of "masculine overcompensation" with your behaviors. Usually this overcompensation is due to the subject's own feelings of inadequacy or inferiority, either from an economic, class, or physical standpoint. This is usually demonstrated in adolescent boys who are insecure about their own masculinity, or in aging (middle aged) males who are compensating for a loss in another area, shortcomings in other areas of their life, or never achieving satisfaction, respect, or success at all. Poor education? Low social status? Past or frequent rejection or failed relationships? Economically (earnings) way below what you feel you should be making, or envious of others who make more and aren't (in your opinion) deserving? In the middle aged man presenting with masculine overcompensation, their answer is to sometimes purchase a Harley. The purchase itself is significant. Instant belonging to a "group" (thanks to very shrewd and finely executed marketing by the MOCO). The perceived affluence (whether or not it exists) that may have escaped them most of their life. Ownership of an inanimate object that they can now base their previously undefined and unrewarding "lifestyle" around. They now have a purpose on which to base their life, wardrobe, music, jargon, and social activities! A new direction, instant Brothers of the Road, soulmates all brought together through the magic of a down payment! Along with their newly purchased self-identity (sadly based on the purchase of a particular brand of motorcycle), they often begin to exhibit exaggerated opinions of those who are now self-perceived by the overcompensator as inferior, or using a popular colloquialism "Wannabes". This of course means anyone not choosing and worshipping Harley Davidson. On the other hand, most mature, lucid, and normal folk appreciate the fact that not everyone wants, covets, or dreams of owning a Harley nor has had to settle for something lesser, thereby making them a lesser person. Most folks buy a Harley because that's what they like or want (and maybe it is only because of the visceral desire for one), but not to rub other's noses in the fact that THEY don't own one. Those who do buy a Harley for the later immature and psychologically misguided reasons will soon find themselves surrounded by other miscreants of the same ilk, as these are the only people who will continue to associate with them. Most Harley owners are into their bikes, and choose to ride them because they want to...not to feel superior over others or to compensate for some vacuous loss or deficiency in other areas of their lives. I'll ride with anybody, I don't care what anyone else rides, and I sure don't judge them as a person based on a brand of motorcycle, the size of their house, or their bank account. Now is the time the average overcompensator inserts a "if I had to explain it you wouldn't understand", or a "F-U", or even the classic "I'll bet you're riding Jap Crap" etc. Perhaps you might even throw in a "I know you are, but what am I?" To sum up, I truly hope your post was in jest, and intended to stir the pot. If not, please seek some professional help. Best Regards, A06
Excellent post Airborne06. If I ever get a chance to meet you face to face, I'll buy the beers.
