Just got the matching lowers and tour-pak for my FLHX. Had fun putting the tour-pak together with the backrest, lock set, luggage rack and detachable mount. I also bought the new HD fancy hinges for the tour-pak.
Thought I would take the lowers off... now I dont know. Kind of nice on a cool day. I might try the clamp kit from HD so they are easy to remove or put on... just have to talk myself into the $99

My '05 SEEG had lowers and I usualy had those off, but I like the way lowers look on a black bike, so on they went. Differene in buffeting and wind deternance..?? Its relative...these's always wind blowing around you when ur going 60+, but mostly I like the look and the additional easy to reach storage in the golve boxes. The wind screen (mine's 8 inches) is the real culpert, not a lack of lowers. But I don't mind and 8" is better than the stock 4"...
