Another option is just a Class 2 Vest like what is worn by road side construction workers. You can pick them up at most contractor supply places for about $15. Usually available in lime (more like bright yellow) or orange, and have 3M reflective tape on them. I used to keep one in my saddlebag for added visability at night, until i replaced my HOG patch with their reflective patch.

You can get a reflective belt from almost any sporting goods store. I've seen them at Walmart as well. I'm required to wear one when I ride but choose to ride with the orange Harley vest, much more visible day or night.

How about modifying a garment you already like to wear riding? Are their certain specs you have to follow?

Try searching for reflective tape, you can find some in various colors. I thought of using some black tape for certain applications. Quick google search comes up w/ stuff like this:

http://www.bikerhiway.com/reflective...e-c-70_33.html

This is example of some of the sew on tape on the clothing, and stick on tape on the bike:

Or if you can't get someone to sew it on, here's some iron on stuff:

I never thought of this, but I see they have some reflective decals (racing, lightning, etc) for helmets, that was pretty cool as far as stuff like that goes...

You can also find leather, and other material, jackets and vest w/ reflective stuff already sewn in that look cool otherwise in daylight, etc. Just to give an idea:

I'm not saying any one of these specific products is what you want, but just giving you some ideas, you could get some sew on, or iron on, tape in black or silver, or whatever color you may find, that would look good fitted to a garment of your choice, or you could find a normal looking jacket or vest that has reflective stripes or piping.
