Follow the Doc's orders on this one. you can never be to carefull on a neck or back injury. If you feel the need to ride here is something a little less likely to give you whiplash and is available at walmart

Glad to hear the surgery went well. Follow the doctors orders and just get 100% before you attempt to go out for a ride.

I'm sure the time will pass reasonably quickly and you'll be out enjoying pain free riding soon!
