We got us a blizzard going on in Denver today. My son works about 40 mins away on a good day. He just called me and told me he was in an accident on I-25. No details yet.
O.K. Looks like he's allright. He's trying to limp'er home now. Somebody spun out in front of him and as he went around that vehicle a lady suddenly appeared in front of him. He got stopped and then rearended by a guy in a F-150. That shoved him into the lady, so he got it from both ends. Looks like no one was hurt. The guy in the F-150 is going to be at fault for the whole thing.
Man it's really blowin' and snowin' out there!
Glad the boy's o.k. I live in Aurora and work in Denver. I left work early thinking I would get home before traffic. I didn't realize everybody in town was thinking the same thing. My 20 minute ride home from Denver took 2 1/2 hours. can't figure out why people in this town become so retarded when it snows. Did pull a Denver cop out that got stuck in the ice and snow. (I've got a chevy 2500hd w/4wd) Did my good deed for the day.
Thanks Butcher. My daughter called me and told me he'd had a wreck. I wasn't for sure what had happend for about 20 mins. A little tense for a bit.
No one was hurt but he's gonna have to get a new truck. Kind of smashed up this one, both front and rear.
Very boy scoutish of ya to pull the boys in blue out of their predicament.
I pulled a couple of Den. cops out of the S. Platt many yrs. ago. They rolled their pickup into the river up near the chutes. Neither one was hurt but the truck was high centered on a rock in about 3 feet of water. Ran a block & tackel across to the far side to pull it off the rock then came back to the near side and straight up to the road. They lost their guns and beer in the river.
Anyway, thanks for the kind words.
Glad to hear all is well. Not that bad of a storm as it turns out. I was hoping for a real good one, but still some pretty good moisture. I spent my afternoon helping all the dumb Californians and Texans (no offense mostly) that got stuck in the apartment neighborhood. Two texans proceeded to drive directly back into the same snow drift they were originally stuck in right after I pulled them out and took the tow cable off.
Well they just picked up the truck. He got the rental and is off to work. Now we just wait and see.
Yeah, the storm wasn't that bad. By the time he got the wreck home the snow had just about stopped, but it was really comming down there for a little bit. We got a foot in about two hours. Can sure use the moisture.
Well all of that stuff is bearing down in my neck of the woods tomorrow into Sunday! I hope it's not as bad as they are predicting. Seems like us here around St. Louis always get hit with the nasty weather.
Seems like the river draws the weather in. Hope it don't get too bad.
I don't know how you all stand that friggin' humidity. All the way from E. Ks. clear to the coast. Once ya hit the coast the breeze off the water provides a little relief.
Saw the Cards play the Cubs at Busch stadium once. I thought I was gonna sweat to death!
