Did you by chance take any additional photos of the adapter. Very curious to how this is made. Does it have sharp edges or is it a smooth transition on the inside?

Do these speakers work with stock tuner and no amp?

I don't have any other pictures of the adapters. It just funnels 6.5 down to 5.25. I would not want to try to make these. There is no extra room for error. The Biketronics adapters fit perfect and screw right on with supplied hardware.

Using 4 ohm speakers with a 2 ohm system will result in less volume.
The radio still should only put out 20 watts per channel. 20x2 for the streetglide and 20x4 (2 extra speakers) for the Ultra, so the power to the front speakers should be the same.

I just copied the specs from Harley website. I think some bikes have an amp under the tourpack?

Did you have to do any modification to the silver support bracket that attach's to the bottom of the speaker?

Is the adapter angled like the stock one? Pointing the speakers toward the rider?

Any further details? Such as bass sound at highway speeds.

Thanks for everything

I did the same install last weekend and have come to pretty much the same conclusion... A little bit better bass, a little louder but not quite as bright sounding... I will likely switch to another 6.5" speaker / component set at some point...

Was it worth it? yes...

Any mods to brackets??? NO bolts right in.. I have a lot of photos that I will post shortly.. Here is one as I prepped for the install.

I know I am looking forward to further details. Thanks for summing up the questions. From looking at the adapters here in this photo, there isnt as much of an angle to them as the stock ones.

Can you give a little more detail around the speakers you started from?

Did you upgrade from stock or were you using ARC 5 1/4"

I'm asking so I understand your point of comparison a little better.

Thanks!

There are no mods to the support brackets needed bolts right up.
The adapter does not have any angle. I dont think the speakers would fit with an angle.
It is still winter in MD and I have not had a chance to ride since the original review. I will recap and say that the bass responce is very good, the highs are not bright enough for my taste. The system really needs component speakers or add on tweeters like the hogpods.
