I was returning from Sturgis in 04 and after a night in Denver, I decided to keep the bike rollin as long as I could. Turned out to be 24hrs, and 1300 miles, later. The wife knodded off plenty of times as I could fell her helmet lean up against me. Hell, close to the end I think we were both sleeping at some time or another!
I couldn't imagine falling asleep riding on the back of a motorcycle. But then again, we had a Heritage. Have not been on the new Ultra yet. Still couldn't imagine going to sleep because it's so exciting to me.

I had asked this same question about 4 months ago after getting my 09 Ultra.
We rode to Vegas and she fell asleep.
Now every time we go on a long ride I occasionaly reach back and check to see if her knee is there.
If not I know I gotta turn around an look for her...
Someone suggested that I hook a bungie cord from the bike to her thong.
If she ever started to fall that should wake her up in time....
I figured I would just velcro her to the seat...
Or if you've seen the shirt that reads: "If you can read this HONK; she fell off"
My wife slept half the way back from Orlando to New Bern, NC. Every time I'd hit the bakes her helmet would clank into mine...never had a problem with her slipping or upsetting the balance of the bike...just funny as hell.
My fiance does the same thing. Her helmet starts to tap mine and I know she's asleep.
my wife fainted due to the heat and did fall off. i was just making a turn and felt her helmet hit me in the back and like in slow-mo went off the left side ,as i got the bike stopped she went face first onto the pavement, her foot tangled between footrest and the frame so that i couldnt put the bike on the kick stand or it would have bent her foot ..luckly some friends were riding behind us that had to untangle her and stop traffic.. she ended up in the hospital for the night after the cops and ambulance got there ...nowdays any time i feel her hlm clunk me because she has dozed off i panic big time
