I read from page 1 to page 6 and then jumped to last cause I couldnt read anymore....Does anyone know for a fact if the Kuryakn Flame linkage has this bearing that your all talking about?
I just got it delivered last night. First thing I noticed is it is much longer than the stock rod so I'll have to make some adjustments there.....but does anyone know if these are the bearings that you are all talking about?
Or conversely....anyone know of failures of the Kuryakyn shift linkages?

GMC...now I see what your all talking about.
Yes thats them on the new linkage. I was thinking my stock linkage also had them on it and there was some "special" brand. After looking closer at the stock linkage I see that it doesnt. It has some wierd shaft thingy that just sticks in. Now I get it........duh.... Thanks
Where the heck do yo get stainless 5/16-24 x 1 in hex cap screws? Loew's had nothing Home Depot had Stainless 5/16-18 x 1 but not 5/16-24 x 1. I also tried Reilly Auto and Auto Zone.

I don't think you will in stainless, a friend found 2" at a specialty bolt place and cut them but why not just get chrome fr. HD or Ace.
Installed the Kuryakyn Flame linkage Friday night. I have to agree the shifts are noticeably firmer and makes me realize now that the stock linkage with those "studs" (for the lack of a better word) had play or sloppyness in them which the Helm joints do not allow.
I bought the linkage for looks primarally before I read this thread. Then I saw all this about the helm joints. Probably the first item I bought that actually looks good and provides a mechanical improvement.
