Default Oil temp gauge question ?????????

I just received my Roger McEwan oil temp gauge from PHAT Performance. The box has 4 different harley models printed on it, I ordered for 07 FLTR the box checked indicates it is for a FLTSE 2002-Present, the box shows 99-Present FLTR but it is not the one that is checked. The gauge fits but the light plug is different, my bike has a 2prong plug for the light the gauge light has none. The OEM bulb and socket do not fit properly in the gauge so I would have to use the bulb and socket provided with the gauge. Those of you who have installed this gauge, did you have to do anything to the light, any thoughts Thanks Mike Z...

Hey Road Hawg,

I do recall having to do a little modification of my wiring. I can't remember the details, but if I get a chance I'll take a picture of what I did. It wasn't a big deal what ever it was. I also had to install the temp gauge in the upper position and move the fuel gauge down because there wasn't enough clearance to fit where the ambient air temp was. For ambient temp I did a Formotion thermometer on the clutch perch.

Thanks, I figured it it out last night, the bulb is powered by the gauge plug the light gets power internally.
