My new windshield was waiting for me when I got home from work this evening. I immediately put it on and took it for a test ride. I got the black 6.5" and have the 6 inch Harley shield. I took it out for 30 miles. 15 of it on I-10. It does as it's advertised. I it blew most of the air over me and their was a heck of a lot less turbulence on my full face Shoeii RF-1000. There was much "calmer" air hitting the top of the helmet which is good for the helmet vents. Took it up to 80mph than to 100 for a bout 10 miles or so. I have hogtunes speakers and over 80 it would start to get hard to hear the radio from all the noise from the buffeting. I could still hear the radio very clear at 100! Don't ever go that fast. I just wanted to test it out. It was great at the lower speeds on the local roads as well. I know there have been some bad reviews, but I am pretty happy with it and I think it looks great. The price is really high, but was able to get it shipped for 130 from the Navy Exchange website. I will post better pictures in the daylight this weekend. Just wanted to get some pics up right away. Hopefully the curve in the shield wont be in the way of the new Hogtunes Speaker Dash Pads!

I have a 2011 FLHTC, i was undecided on the WS or KW, i went to my local.dealer and he had the KW demo display out , he said try it out and pick one.
Good deal.rite ? I took off the the stock 12" shield and tried the 10.5 KW clear it was good wind protection but felt.like i still had the stock.shield.on. plus i wanted to be able to look over it,
i tried the 8.5 , light tinted , i took it up to 90 on the hwy and it worked great , i bought it .
looks.great too. The bike is silver pearl so the light tint looked good.
im also 5,7 and riding the stock.seat .
just my experiance with this product .
I tried the klock works and the wind splitter both 7 inches and found the klock works to be too noisy. It did throw the wind better then the ws but it was noisy with all the curves.
Hi guys tried the 8.5 KW again , i haven't rode it much since last Sunday but put 26 miles on varied roads today , the shield is great . i have never been able to look over a shield without get blasted .
here are some pics on the bike .
I installed a 6.5 KW on my 2012 SG and it helps out a lot at speeds over 70mph. Just cruising at slow speeds I didn't notice too much difference over stock but I'm 6'4 so a taller one probably would fit me better. I'm happy with it!
Hey guys im wondering ! Now that we got this done what about our passenger, would they feel the effects of the wind as we do ar will they get blasted ?
i guess i would have to put her on , and try it but im just wondering does anyone have input an that gquestion ?
