Bought mine at Academy, they look just like the HD boots at the dealer and now have 25K on them and about time for some new souls. Priced at $129 about a year ago.
I have Redwing steel toe work boot that works great for riding, but for all day walking and riding I have a pair of Sidi Boots that are the best and a pair of low cut BMW summer riding boots that are very good. HD boots are not that good imho.
Anybody have any boots with the "pegbar" on them? What do ya think. I have them on a pair of boots and they seem to be more of a pain in the a$$ rather than a help.
dont have a COW man!!...all I was asking was if anyone actually had a special pair of boots to 'top off' their biker COSTUME...:>)...also,I have never had anything other than "cheap-a$$ boots" so I really cant compare my cheap-***-boots with your poser ones...:>)
Not havin' a COW, man... Just seems you've got more smart-a$$ remarks than constructive commentary... I guess the written word lacks the tonality of your joking manner or sarcasm... I don't know about every one else, but I don't "suit-up" or wear a "costume" to ride in. I work hard and play harder. Life's too short for petty bullsh!t. As for the "poser" comment, good luck finding me "posing" next to my bike. If I'm not working, sleeping or fukking, I'm riding!

What a bunch of posers... I bet all you guys ride Harleys too...
I ride whatever the Hell i happen to find in the garage... Mostly my kids toys..(total cost $60) lol
That's funny sheeeeet right there
I wear over the ankle (4-6") boots of either Danner (work boots) or 5.11 (all the time). It seems all I wear on my bike are the 5.11's.
I might get a pair of the 5.11's in an 8" lace up with the zipper on the inside for ease for a little better coverage.
The 5.11's are used often by the Coppers and I think the Leo's on the board that have worn them will have positive remarks about their comfort. They have a super comfortable sole that is molded and doesn't require any breaking-in. Gore-tex is a plus for me since I've ridden in so much rain throughout my riding life. Although I have to admit I've had my fill of riding in rain.
Those who've posted about wearing what ever shoes or boots they find in their dog's single-wide trailer house when they wake up drunk in the morning crack me up. Too funny
Herman Munster boots are good and tough if you need to work in a rock quarry but for riding they are overkill and weigh too much for walking comfort once you get off the bike.
