I got my PC V this last week, from Fuel Moto. I am going to install it, along with the rest of my stage 1, tomorrow. I tried to load the software on my laptop, but it didn't load. I clicked install, but it didn't do anything. I took my stuff to my friend that is going to help me install everything, so I haven't had a chance to play with it, yet.

I installed my stage1 from Fuelmoto and the bike runs flawlessly. Jamie and Keith have got it together.

Is there a way to tell if you are correctly set without the laptop? RPMs while idleing etc?
You can't set the throttle without a computer, at least not that I know of. Mine is an '07 (non-TBW) which can be set for 0% and 100% very easily just by turning on the ignition and connecting the PCV to the computer. IIRC the TBW bikes can set their 0% with the computer but not 100% unless on a dyno.

Here's the proof too!!

Keep in mind also that I am in New Orleans.....AKA 11' below hell. Tech at the dealer said that because of our elevation we dont get really good tunes.....

Iclick, that was the tech that I told you about. I have alot more confidence in him now that I talked to a few of my friends. It seems that all of them trust this guy to work on their bikes when they HAVE to bring it to the dealer.

Did he say why this would be? I haven't heard that.

Is this the guy that tuned your Sporty? What did he do, a dyno tune or just a dyno run? If the former, did you do a run before the tune?

The dyno sheet is with the FuelMoto Stage I installed. Unfortunately I do not have a run without it installed.

Why this is, easy answer: elevation combined with humidity. I know that from drag racing. I can tune at my house all day long....~6' below sea level. When I get to Gulfport or some other drag strip I have to retune because of the elevation. Surprising how much of a difference that makes. A guy I know just got a bike delivered from Marlyland. He is having fits trying to get it tuned right for down here.

Yeah it was the same tech that did my sporty. He talked to me before but I did not know the right questions to ask. I found out he races bikes and tunes them. If he can tune them for racing I have a little more faith in him doing my simple stage I (if I had a SEST). He was upfront with me and told me that he would not be able to tune my PCV because he doesnt know much about them. Made me feel alot better dealing with him.

Did the tech tune it--i.e., change the map--or just perform a dyno run to only chart the HP and TQ? How many miles are on the bike?

That would be the case with a carbed car or bike, but I'm under the impression the MAP sensor on a recent EFI Harley should compensate very accurately for these changes.

Only a dry dyno run, no tuning. I just clocked in over 1050 miles a few minutes ago. Had right over 1000 (like 1003) Saturday with the dyno run.

Not sure about the elevation and new MAP sensors. They may be able to compensate. For my sake I hope so, that way I dont run much different anywhere I go.

Whew! I'm glad to hear you only have 1k on the bike as your torque curve looks low. You should be seeing a torque peak above 90 ft. lbs., but that might be explained by the fact that the bike hasn't fully broken in. At 10k I would think you should show curves similar to those posted on Fuel Moto's site.

The Delphi EFI works better than most people think to compensate for changing air-density, temperature, and pressure--even without closed-loop working as in a stardard non-AT PCV installation like what you have.
